Our Story

My first 10+ years in project management, I consistently saw company’s management use a command and control approach, thus deflating team morale, slowing time to market, and increasing quality defects.  I knew there had to be a better way, then I discovered this new thing called Agile – I was hooked. 

 My last 5 years have been spent helping clients transform their business through the use of various Agile methodologies.  What I saw during that time was staffing firms generally claimed they could provide all IT resources, but they didn’t have the knowledge or experience in Agile.  Therefore, they weren’t able to provide quality Agile resources to their clients, they simply pushed a heavy volume of candidates to clients, and hoped for the best.  The hiring process is very expensive for companies, as it includes hiring, provisioning, training, ramp-up time, etc.  It is critical that it gets done correctly the first time.  

 I knew we could do better, and on March 3rd, 2015, AgileAble was born.  We’re an Agile staffing firm built from the ground up with Agile in mind.   Everyone from our recruiters, engagement managers, leadership, and interns gets trained in Agile.  We even do our recruiting in Agile sprints, have retrospectives, demo’s, daily stand-up’s, and much more.  Our certifications support our claim that we are an Agile first company including CSP, SPC4, CSPO, CSM, and ACP.  All of this Agile knowledge helps us validate our candidates, to ensure we’re providing you with the very best and brightest agile resources.  The ROI is very significant, some studies show the cost savings as much as 500%!

Derrick spent the first seven years of his career in business and data analysis.  His clients include Belk, AutouplinkUSA, Virtual Hired Hands, Habitat for Humanity, and WorldPac.  He has an analytical mind, and enjoys solving business problems for his clients.     

Derrick joined the staffing industry in 2016, and has taken a hands on approach to serving candidates and clients through

recruiting.  He is quickly learning Agile, and loves flexibility and empowerment it provides him in his job.  He enjoys meeting new people, and helping them in their careers.  In his spare time, Derrick is an aspiring singer, and Hip Hop producer, so look for his future albums.

Jim Halley is in sales as a Senior Account Manager, primarily focusing on project sales within larger accounts. Currently living in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, Jim has years of experience in the revenue generation side of advanced technology solutions promoting better business processes and driving down costs. Jim credits his finance degree from Kent State University in Ohio for giving him the insight on how to appropriately communicate with clients and prospects in order to uncover their needs and develop relationships.

 While sales and relationship building have always been a strongpoint in Jim’s career, Jim says his true purpose is being a Biblical husband and parent. Jim married his wife in 1997 after moving to the Charlotte area, his first time ever living outside of his home state of Ohio. Three daughters and one dog later, Jim says his family is the most fulfilling to him.

 Jim lives by the mantras, “Don’t sweat the small stuff,” “K.I.S.S. – Keep it simple stupid,” and “Q.T.I.P. – Quit taking it personally.”

Kyle’s IT background is in the areas of development, business analysis, project management, and agile coaching.  He obtained his MBA, CSP, SPC4, CSM, CSPO, ACP, and PMP certifications.  He has 15 years’ experience working in the IT industry.  His client industry experience includes: Financial Management, Consulting, Mortgage, Retail, Security, Software, Oil & Gas, Telecommunications, Insurance, Logistics, and Grocery industries.       

 He is passionate about helping people improve their personal and professional lives, through the use of Agile.  Since founding AgileAble in 2015, Kyle has leveraged his Agile experience to lead the firm in providing highly skilled Agile candidates to clients.  He believes in empowering teams to unlock their true talents, to obtain a high level of satisfaction in the work place, and delight their customers.
